KissAnime used to be my favourite anime streaming site. I used to recommend it to everyone who spoke about anime and I loved that it was stable and had good quality streams compared to the other sites that had 480p video that was actually 240p.

Now, though.. Well, first of all there's this new video hosting platform they're using called Openload, which is a load of BS. It's slow, and it spoils the entire episode in the thumbnail. I'm pretty sure KissAnime used to have a strict no spoilers policy. Do they still ban people for posting spoilers in the comments? That would be a laugh. I've had major deaths spoiled because of that stupid episode preview thing. I know we're getting free anime, but come on!

Then there's the site itself. Or, I don't really know what's going on there. I can't load a single episode properly because the page keeps loading and loading, stopping and starting, perpetually. The video will play, but I'll get that annoying box pop up in the corner telling me what's being requested or what url the browser is trying to get through to. I'm not sure how it works, but it happens on every episode. Sometimes I can just cancel the loading and it will be fine, but other times even that doesn't do the trick and it will jump from loading to loaded and back again every half-second. Opening the video in a new tab gets around that, but I should not have to do that.

Lastly, there's the ads. Were the ads always so bad? I'm surprised that the site is now full of ads to hentai games. I didn't think they allowed that sort of stuff. Anyway, that's not the point. There are so many more ads than I remember there ever being, and they're bad ones. Video ads, pop up ads, etc. And obviously adblockers are, well, blocked. I understand that. As I said, we're getting free anime. But the ads are verging on making the site unusable. Like, do the website creators ever check on the site to see that it's running well and that the ads they've got are under control?

I'm now looking for another anime streaming site because all this is sucking away the joy I get from watching good anime. It would be nice if the site could actually be fixed up again so I didn't have to leave.
